I love added detail on towels, purses, or clothing.  Since I still had a few Christmas presents to complete I wanted to make something with an applique and something that would be useful.  Everyone always ends up in the kitchen chit chatting whether it be in your own kitchen or a good friend that you are visiting.  I thought that having something pretty to display on your oven would be both pretty and useful!

 



Candy Buttons

I have always LOVED candy buttons however it was not until recently I discovered I might be able to make these on my own......They taste better than the store bought! 

The Perfect Frosting

After two weeks (actually I have been searching for a perfect homemade frosting for quite sometime now) of almost burning up my stand mixer on various frosting recipes I have found it!!!!!!!!!!!  It is so good!  I had my daughter taste the Betty Crocker butter cream frosting and then I gave her the homemade frosting.  She picked the homemade frosting!  I feel it is my obligation to share this recipe in hopes I will save someone else having to go through what I did in search of the perfect frosting! Hahahaha!

3 cups powdered sugar
1 cup butter ~ softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-2 Tablespoons Heaving whipping cream

Using a stand mixer beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.  Add the vanilla and mix well.  Add 1 cup of powdered sugar at a time to the mixture while continuing to beat on med/low speed.

Here were my variations to the above recipe......

****  I used 4 1/2 cups of powdered sugar and 3-4 Tablespoons of Heavy Whipping Cream!

Umbrella Stroller Organizer

I have finished my umbrella organizer!  It has 3 pockets that holds sippy cups, soda cans, wallet, keys, or a snack. Snaps for the straps! It is 15"L x 8 1/2" W.  As the warmer months are approaching I always find I take the big stroller when I want to take the umbrella stroller simply because of storage!  This solves my problem!

The Carnival Booth

I am currently, or should I say have been for quite sometime, working on a Carnival Birthday party for my daughter Isabelle and son Jackson.  They are 5 years apart however their birthdays fall one day apart.  This is the first year we are attempting a joint birthday party.  It took a few days to ponder what kind of a birthday due to the age difference, but then it hit me one day......a Carnival!  I have to say I have let my mind get the best of my working hands on this one hahaha! I have a ton to do! Today I was working on the Carnival Booth for the party.  I had my husband build me a wooden outline and I am sewing the decorations for it.  Today I started the banner for the booth but I still have the sides and the second self to finish.  I wanted to share my work in progress!
